A DRINK-DRIVER who failed to stop at a crash scene following a collision on Christmas Eve has been fined.

Dominic Parkins pleaded guilty to driving a Ford Focus in Bedford Drive, Fareham, while over the legal alcohol limit.

A test revealed his breath contained 78 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres – more than twice the 35mcg legal limit.

Parkins, from West Street, Fareham, pleaded guilty to failing to stop at the scene of a collision in the same street on the same day.

A Mazda was damaged in the incident, Fareham magistrates heard.

The 24-year-old was fined £600.

Parkins was ordered to pay £30 to a fund for victims of crime and £85 in court costs.

He was banned from getting behind the wheel for 20 months.
