A MOTORIST who was caught driving at twice the legal drink limit in Portsmouth has been fined and banned from the roads.

Lyndsy Law was stopped by the police as she drove her Ford Ka in Station Street, Landport, on February 13 this year.

A breathalyser test revealed she had 76 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. This was more than double the legal limit of 35 microgrammes.

Law, of Frankton Way, Gosport, pleaded guilty to drink-driving when she appeared before Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

The 23-year-old was fined £275 with £100 in costs.

She was also disqualified from driving for 18 months by magistrates.
