A DRINK-DRIVER has been fined and banned from the roads for 17 months.

Alexander Douglas was caught driving a Honda while over the limit in Chaffinch Green, Waterlooville, where he lives.

A breathalyser test revealed he had 63 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.

The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.

Douglas, 36, pleaded guilty to drink-driving when he appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

He was fined £500 and told to pay £100 in costs.
