A DRINK-DRIVER was caught while three times the legal alcohol limit.

John Wooden, 49, of Langford Road, Portsmouth, admitted committing the offence while riding a Suzuki motorbike at junction nine on the M27 at Fareham on November 2.

A test revealed his breath contained 116 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres. The legal limit is 35mcg.

Wooden was ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work in the next year.

He was banned from driving for two years and told to pay a £60 surcharge and £85 costs by Portsmouth magistrates.
