A MOTORIST was caught behind the wheel while twice the legal alcohol limit.

Romasz Hendzel, 35, of Upper Arundel Street, Landport, was found guilty of committing the offence in Surrey Street, Landport, on July 4.

A test revealed his breath contained 91 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres.

The legal limit is 35mcg.

He was ordered to do 150 hours of unpaid work in the next year and told to pay a £60 victim surcharge by Portsmouth magistrates.

He must also pay £360 costs.

Hendzel was banned from getting behind the wheel for three years.
