A TEENAGER caught drink-driving has been banned from the roads.

Simon Ash, from Lulworth Road, Lee-on-the-Solent, pleaded guilty to committing the offence while driving in Mitchell Road, Havant.

A test revealed the 19-year-old’s breath contained 47 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres.

The legal limit is 35mcg.

Ash was fined £200 and told to pay £20 to a fund for victims of crime and £85 in court costs.

He was banned from driving for a year by Portsmouth magistrates.
