Driver, 40, dies after car crashes into fence post '“ REGIONAL

A DRIVER has died after crashing a car into fence post.

The 40-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash in Lower Froyle, a village near Alton.

Police were called at 7.13am yesterday to Froyle Road after the Blue Ford Ka crashed into the fence post near the junction with the road that leads to Long Sutton.

Family of the man, from South Warnborough, have been informed.

PC Paul Farquharson of Whitchurch Roads Policing Unit said: 'We are appealing for anyone with information about this collision to come forward and talk to police.

'Were you driving along this road this morning between 6.45am and 7.15am? Did you see what happened, or did you notice a stationary blue car?'

Call 101 quoting Operation Fourteen with any information.
