A DRIVER arrested after the death of a cyclist on the A3 has been bailed.

The 33-year-old man, from Waterlooville, was questioned on suspicion of causing the cyclist’s death by careless driving following the incident near the Hindhead Tunnel at 7.30am on New Year’s Day.

James Stephenson, 32, of Meadow Way, Liphook, was killed. The driver was bailed until April 8 pending inquiries.
