A MAN admitted drink-driving in a van he had stolen.

David Gregory, 21, of Stockton Close, Hedge End, had an accident in the VW Caddy after taking it from Curdridge.

He admitted driving the vehicle without a licence or insurance in Botley Road, Curdridge. A test revealed his blood contained 170 milligrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres. The limit is 80mg.

Gregory was banned from driving for 22 months by Fareham magistrates following the offences on May 13.
