MOTORIST Netra Patel had her driving licence reinstated after she pleaded mitigating circumstances to a charge of driving without insurance.

The 39-year-old, of Montreal Drive, Havant, pleaded guilty but said she had been misled by her husband into thinking she had insurance.

Magistrates accepted her reasons and fined her £500, with a £50 victim surcharge. Her licence was reinstated on February 27 which had been revoked at an earlier hearing that she did not attend.
