A MAN has been found guilty of driving while almost four times the legal alcohol limit.

Richard Paterson, 30, had denied driving a black VW Golf in Cambridge Road, Gosport, after drinking too much. A test revealed his breath contained 130 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres – almost four times the legal limit of 35 microgrammes.

Paterson, of Crogal Crescent, Chapelhall, North Lanarkshire, was found guilty of the offence by Fareham magistrates.

He was fined £630, told to pay £750 in court costs and £15 into a fund for crime victims and banned from driving for six months.
