A MOTORIST was caught driving while more than four times the legal alcohol limit.

Kevin Crouch pleaded guilty to driving a Ford Focus in Broom Way, Lee-on-the-Solent, after drinking too much.

A test revealed his breath contained 150 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.

Crouch, 50, from Trent Way, Lee-on-the-Solent, was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison suspended for 12 months by Fareham magistrates.

He was also told to do 150 hours of unpaid work in the next year under supervision. Crouch must also pay £85 in court costs and was banned from driving for three years.
