DRINK-driver Michael Scott was caught behind the wheel while almost twice the legal alcohol limit.
The 31-year-old pleaded guilty to driving a Honda Accord in Stirling Street, Portsmouth, after drinking too much on May 27.
A test revealed Scott’s breath contained 68 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres.
The legal alcohol limit is 35mg.
Scott, of Cedar Drive, Chichester, was fined £350 by Portsmouth magistrates.
He must pay £15 into a fund for victims of crime and £85 in court costs.
Scott was banned from driving for 12 months.
The ban could be reduced by three months on the condition that he pays to complete a government-approved driving course by January 10 2012.
