DRINK-DRIVER Steven Catherwood was caught behind the wheel while almost four times the legal alcohol limit.

The 32-year-old admitted driving a Volvo in Gosport Road, Fareham, after drinking too much on April 17.

A test revealed his breath contained 130 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35mg.

Catherwood, from Porkington Terrace, Barmouth, Gwynedd, was given a 32-month driving ban by Fareham magistrates and told to pay £85 costs.

He was also given a community order stating he must take part in a drink drivers’ programme for 40 hours and is under supervision from the probation service for a year.
