A MAN caught driving while twice the legal alcohol limit has been fined.

Karl Ingall pleaded guilty to driving a Vauxhall Corsa in Western Way, Fareham, while over the limit on January 9.

A test revealed the 24-year-old’s breath contained 70 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres.

The legal limit is 35mg.

Ingall, of Lynn Crescent, Fareham, was fined £125, ordered to pay £85 costs and £15 into a fund for victims of crime by Fareham magistrates.

Ingall was also banned from driving for 18 months.

But magistrates said his ban could be reduced by four months if he pays to complete a government-approved driving course.
