SERIAL thief Michael Johnson has been ordered to get help for his drug addiction.

Johnson was caught shoplifting three times in two weeks.

The 27-year-old stole goods from the Co-op in Fratton Road, Fratton, Portsmouth, on March 23.

Six days later he stole meat and coffee from the Co-op in Albert Road, Southsea.

Then on April 6 Johnson, of Waverley Road, Southsea, stole more meat from the Albert Road Co-op.

He was also caught in possession of cannabis on the same day.

Johnson pleaded guilty to all four offences at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

He was put under supervision for a year and told to undergo nine months of treatment for his drug problem.

Johnson was ordered to pay £23.52 compensation to Co-op.
