A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs after his car was stopped by police on Ironbridge Lane in Milton, Portsmouth.

Ian Alexander Rose was arrested by officers from the Roads Policing unit following a stop-check of the vehicle he was driving on Wednesday.

The 32-year-old of Woodmill Lane, Southampton, is accused of possessing crack cocaine with intent to supply and money laundering offences.

He was remanded in custody and appeared yesterday at Southampton Magistrates’ Court.

A 24-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and possessing crack cocaine. She was bailed until December 28.

Following a search of a property in Southampton, police recovered a quantity of class A drugs believed to have a street value in excess of £40,000.
