A PENSIONER has been mugged for her handbag as she walked through an alleyway.

The 72-year-old woman was approached from behind by a woman who grabbed her handbag at around midday on Tuesday in the alleyway between Knowsley Crescent and Windsor Road, Cosham, Portsmouth.

The victim held onto her bag, but her assailant held onto the victim’s wrists whilst a man grabbed the handbag from her. The suspects ran off in the direction of Windsor Road.

The female suspect is described as in her late-20s or early-30s, slim, 5ft, with black hair in a ponytail and wore dark clothing.

The second suspect is described as a white man of small build with short cropped hair. He wore a beige jacket and dark trousers.
