POLICE have released this e-fit of a man who indecently exposed himself to two schoolgirls.

The girls, aged 11 and 12, were walking through the Great Copse Woods, in Highlawn Way, Leigh Park, when they noticed a man was following them.

The man then exposed himself to the girls who ran to a friend’s house nearby and called the police.

PC Karen Day said: ‘I recognise that this incident may alarm parents but I would like to reassure them that offences like this are rare and we are investigating it thoroughly.

‘Children and young people should continue taking the usual precautions with their personal safety, such as keeping to busy and well lit areas and not walking alone in secluded areas or at night.’

The incident took place between 6.10pm and 6.30pm on Tuesday, April 12. Police have only just released details.

The man is described as white, in his mid-20s, about 5ft 10in, of medium build with spiky blond hair.

He had an oval face, and was clean-shaven with an eyebrow piercing. He wore a dark-coloured, short-sleeved T-shirt and dark Adidas tracksuit bottoms.

Anyone with information should call police on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
