POLICE are hunting a burglar who preyed on a vulnerable disabled victim in his home.

The incident happened when a thief knocked on the man’s door under the pretence of selling cleaning cloths, calendars and other products on the doorstep.

The victim was at his home at Bersted Green Court, Hazel Road, Bognor Regis, on Tuesday.

Two men are believed to be involved in this particular incident and knocking on doors.

One was white, about 6ft 2in, with short dark hair and clean-shaven.

He was carrying a large black bag.

The other man is alleged to have stolen cash from the victim.

Sussex Police have urged elderly or vulnerable residents not to answer the door to cold callers and not to purchase items from people selling door-to door as they may put themselves at risk of theft or burglary.

Anyone with any information about this or similar incidents should contact Sussex Police on 101.
