POLICE believe three burglaries of houses in Fareham are connected.
They happened in Gudge Heath Lane, Derlyn Road and Grove Road between 5.30pm on Thursday, March 29, and 6.30am the following morning.
Items stolen from Gudge Heath Lane and Grove Road were later found in an alleyway to Derlyn Road.
The first raid happened between 5.30pm and 8.30pm at a house in Gudge Heath Lane. The offenders entered the house through an unlocked back door and took a cream-coloured handbag, a red diary, a Marks & Spencer voucher, a Nokia mobile phone and numerous credit cards, plus a brown leather wallet containing further credit cards.
The next incident in Derlyn Road, happened between 9.30pm and 11pm when people entered the house through an unlocked back door into the kitchen. They stole cigarettes and a Samsung Galaxy mobile phone from the kitchen worktop.
Between 11pm the same night and 6.30am the following morning people got into a house in Grove Road through a garage door. Once inside, they stole a Wii games console, charger and controllers, a Nikai DV-7000 black and silver video camera, a Fuji Fine Pix blue digital camera and a Nokia mobile phone.
Det Con Jason Mann of Fareham CID, said: ‘These burglaries, especially the earlier ones, happened at a time when a fair few people would still be up and about.
‘Maybe you saw something. Even if it seems fairly inconsequential, give us a call.’
