MOTORIST David Stewart was caught driving while more than twice the legal alcohol limit.
Stewart, from Longlands Road, Emsworth, pleaded guilty to driving a Vauxhall Meriva in New Lane, Havant, after drinking too much on November 3.
A test revealed Stewart’s breath contained 95 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres – more than twice the legal limit of 35mg.
The 47-year-old was fined £200 and told to pay £15 to a fund for victims of crime by Portsmouth magistrates.
Stewart was also banned from driving for two years.
The ban could be reduced by six months on the condition that he completes a government-approved driving course by March 2013, which costs £195.
