THE hunt is on for robbers who stole from an elderly man in his own home.

Police would not reveal if the 79-year-old was injured in the incident, in Emsworth House Close, Emsworth, but said a mobile phone and some money were taken, leaving him upset and shaken.

Detectives are looking for a man and woman in their early to mid 20s seen in the area on Saturday, May 4, between 5pm and 7pm, when the robbery took place.

DC Steve Kelly, from Waterlooville CID, said: ‘We need the assistance of the community in tracking down those responsible.

‘I would like to reassure the community that this appears to be an isolated case at this time.’
