MONEY and personalised jewellery was stolen from a house in Fareham.

It is believed someone climbed into the back garden and forced a window open to get in to the property in North Hill.

Money was taken from the house, as well as a jewellery box containing a specially- designed engagement ring with nine diamonds in a twist design.

A necklace with a plate engraved with the name ‘Jason’ was also taken in the burglary.

The raid happened on Monday, between 8.50am and 7pm, in North Hill in Fareham.

A neighbour heard banging coming from the property after 5pm.

Police believe the area would have been busy with heavy traffic at the time and are asking anyone with any information to contact them on 101, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
