A MAN who bragged about punching another man in the face has avoided jail.

Homeless Mark Howe, 30, punched Keanu Vincent to the head and face, taking him in a headlock and kicking him in the torso.

Portsmouth magistrates imposed an eight-week jail term suspended for six months after hearing Howe bragged about the assault on Facebook afterwards.

The bench ordered him to pay £200 compensation and complete 15 days of rehabilitation activity requirement.

Howe admitted assault by beating on September 8 in Fareham. He also admitted breaching a conditional discharge for criminal damage.
