A MAN caught with illegal drugs has been told to get help for his addiction.

Anthony Cripps admitted having four tablets of class C diazepam and a small amount of class B amphetamines on him in Longfield Avenue, Fareham, on August 30.

Cripps, 31, of Ocean Close, Fareham, also admitted committing the crimes while subject to a six-month conditional discharge he received for stealing.

Fareham magistrates ordered Cripps to undergo six months of treatment for his drug dependency. He will be under supervision for nine months. The drugs are to be forfeited and destroyed.
