MEAT thief John Bruster has been told to pay compensation.

Bruster, of no fixed abode, admitted stealing the goods from the Co-op in West Street, Fareham, when he appeared at Fareham Magistrates’ Court.

The 31-year-old was given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £22 in compensation to the Co-op.
