MAGISTRATES have ordered a man caught handling stolen goods to do unpaid work.

Jordan Gerstel pleaded guilty to a charge of dishonestly handling a stolen Kindle worth £90 in Fareham.

Gerstel, from Belvoir Close, Fareham, was sentenced to 56 days in prison suspended for a year by Fareham magistrates.

The 20-year-old was also ordered to do 50 hours of unpaid work in the next year.
