MOTORIST Spencer Hill was caught driving while twice the legal alcohol limit.

Hill pleaded guilty to driving a Peugeot Partner on the A32 at Fareham after drinking too much.

A test revealed the 31-year-old’s breath contained 70 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres. The legal limit is 35mg.

Hill, of Gosport Road, Fareham, was fined £275 by Fareham magistrates.

He was told to pay £15 to a fund for victims of crime and £50 in court costs,

Hill was banned from driving for 18 months.

The ban could be reduced by four months on the condition that Hill pays up to £250 to complete a government-approved driving course by July 18, 2013.
