A MAN charged with making and possessing hundreds of indecent images of children has appeared in court.

Nathan Morton, from Bath Lane, Fareham, pleaded guilty to six counts of making a total of 330 images and 72 movies when he appeared at Portsmouth Crown Court yesterday.

The 29-year-old also pleaded guilty to four counts of possessing two indecent photographs and two indecent movies of children.

Each of the crimes were committed between December 12, 2012 and 31 October last year.

He was ordered to sign the Sex Offenders’ Register.

Judge Roger Hetherington released Morton, who has no previous convictions, on bail in order for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.

He is due to reappear at Portsmouth Crown Court to be sentenced next month.
