Fareham man quizzed by detectives after male in his 50s is attacked in Locks Heath

DETECTIVES investigating an assault have been questioning a suspect in connection with the attack.

Officers had previously appealed for information following a fight between two men in Northmore Road, Locksheath.

The clash took place on Saturday, June 26.

As previously reported, a man in his 50s became involved in a confrontation with a second male, which led to the second man assaulting him, leaving him with injuries to his eye.

Police have since questioned a man from Fareham in connection with the attack

A spokeswoman from Hampshire Constabulary added: ‘A 32-year-old man from Fareham has been interviewed under caution as part of this investigation, and enquiries remain ongoing.’

Police have previously urged anyone who has Ring doorbell or dash cam footage from the area at the time to come forward.
