Fareham police question woman after spate of thefts targeting scrap metal, a Christmas tree, and a pair of shoes

The Bishop’s Waltham resident was interviewed under caution in relation to four thefts from gardens and driveways over the last two months.
The crime spree began at around 9pm on December 8, when a miniature Christmas tree was taken from Knowle Avenue.

Hide AdThis was followed by a pair of shoes being stolen from a driveway on Gosport Road, Lee-on-the-Solent at around 4pm on December 13.
Five weeks later, three car batteries were stolen from a garden on Portchester Road, Fareham at 3.40pm on January 12.
And now police believe the crimes are linked to the theft of copper and lead from a garden on Cottes Way, Fareham, reported to police at 6.49pm on January 24.
Officers have reason to believe all these incidents are linked, according to a spokesman from Hampshire Constabulary.
