A THIEF has admitted drug possession.

David Carr was caught with 27 valium tablets on him at Fareham police station on December 10.

Carr, who lives near Catisfield Lane, Fareham, also pleaded guilty to stealing £40 of steak from a Co-op in Fareham on February 4.

The 35-year-old was given a 12-month community order stating that he must take part in a thinking skills programme for 22 sessions by Fareham magistrates.

Carr was put under supervision for a year.

Magistrates made an order for the seized drugs to be forfeited and destroyed.
