A MAN has been told to pay £20 over a stolen bike.

Chad Carruthers, 25, of Binsteed Road, Fratton, admitted receiving stolen goods in Kingston Road, Portsmouth, on August 23.

He was charged with theft but prosecutors offered no evidence in court. Portsmouth magistrates imposed a six-month conditional discharge with a £20 victim surcharge.

The bike was recovered.
