Tyler Newton, 23, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear or provoke violence. Newton, of Eastern Road, Baffins, committed the offence toward Luton Town supporters on December 28 last year in Guildhall Walk.

Pompey drew 0-0 with the team at Fratton Park. Portsmouth magistrates heard Newton had been given a football banning order in December 2014. He also failed to tell police he had moved so magistrates handed him a fresh ban.

He must pay a £50 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs.
