A POLICE force has defended spending £750 on giving two cars an LGBT makeover.

Sussex police decorated the two marked police cars with rainbow decor for Pride, it was reported.

The force told The Time: ‘We hope to show we are an open-minded organisation which the people of Sussex can have confidence in.’

Hampshire police also has a marked car decorated with LGBT insignia. It has recently been decorated by an artist.
