A FORMER Hampshire teacher today pleaded guilty to raping a young boy and sexually assaulting another.

Lloyd Dennis, who taught at Bishop’s Waltham Junior School, appeared at Southampton Crown Court and admitted to 20 charges including rape, multiple offences of sexual assault of a child under the age of 13 and possession of extreme pornography including pictures of children.

At an earlier hearing, Dennis, 33, pleaded guilty to the offences relating to one boy but denied the others.

Today, the morning of the trial, he changed his plea to guilty.

Dennis, of Sopwith Road, in Eastleigh, was remanded in custody and will be sentenced on Thursday, November 5 at Southampton Crown Court.

Judge Nicholas Rowland adjourned the sentencing for a pre-sentence report to be written.
