FOUR people have been arrested after police raided a property in Hayling Island.

Officers forced entry into the address in Solent Drive, off Seafront, after receiving information from local residents.

Once inside they found suspected Class A drugs, along with a large amount of money and drugs paraphernalia.

Three men, aged 17 ,46 and 27 and a woman, aged 55, were arrested at the address on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

The raid took place at around 10.20am last Monday, although details have only just been released by police.

Following interviews, the arrested people have all been bailed pending further inquiries until January 16.

PC Sarah Parkins, from the Hayling Island Safer Neighbourhoods team, said: ‘We want to send out a clear message to those that sell and use illegal substances that this behaviour will not be tolerated and we will continue to take positive action to stamp it out.

‘Hayling Island is a very safe place to live and we want to keep it that way.

‘We take all complaints very seriously and will continue to work closely with our communities.’
