FOUR people have been arrested after a teenager suffered a large cut to his head when a house party spiralled out of control.
Police were called to Waverley Road, Southsea, following trouble between 1.20am and 1.50am on Sunday, November 27.
Detective Constable Pete Bambury said a 17-year-old was assaulted and suffered the cut, following a party at a house.
People from neighbouring houses had also gone out in to the street.
Det Con Bambury said: ‘This is a very busy road with people walking along the street heading home from the pubs along Albert Road.
‘There were numerous youths standing in the road, drinking, throwing bottles and fighting between themselves.
‘There were several arrests but I am trying to identify anyone that may have seen how the disorder started and why.’
Four teenagers from Portsmouth, two aged 17, one aged 16 and one aged 18, have been arrested in connection with this incident.
They were released on bail until February, pending further inquiries.
Anyone with information should contact DC Bambury at Portsmouth Central Police Station on 101.
Those from outside Hampshire should call police on 0845 045 45 45 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
