Four men charged with Corhampton murder of after man's body found in parked car

DETECTIVES have charged four people with murder following the death of Gurinderjit Rai in Corhampton.

Mr Rai’s body was found in a car parked in Shepherds Farm Lane, Corhampton, on Saturday, July 13 last year.

On Tuesday this week, seven men were re-arrested as part of the investigation and detectives have now confirmed four people have been charged with his murder.

Aston Hannis, 29, of Leah Gardens, Eastleigh, Corin Barlow, 40, of Lumley Road, Horley, Surrey, Charlie Statham, 30, of Crescent Close, Winchester and Paul White, 26, of Dyson Drive, Winchester have been remanded to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.

The three remaining men - a 32-year-old man from Climping, West Sussex, a 32-year-old man from Winchester and a 42-year-old man from Owslebury - have been released from custody but remain under investigation.
