FOUR men were arrested on suspicion of assaulting two children in a late-night attack.

A 16-year-old boy was kicked in the head and a 15-year-old girl was punched in the face near the Regis Centre in High Street, Bognor Regis.

The boy was taken to St Richard’s Hospital in Chichester for treatment and later discharged.

Four men – two aged 29 and two aged 23 – who are all from Wolverhampton in the West Midlands, were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and questioned by police in connection with the assaults, which happened at about 11.15pm on Thursday.

Last night they were still being held in police custody.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said: ‘Police are trying to ascertain what led up to the attack and are appealing for anyone with information or who witnessed the incident to please contact them on 0845 6070999 quoting serial number 1677 of March 31.’
