Fundraisers donate more than £1,000 for Gosport baby's family

MORE than £1,000 has been raised for a baby who died after being rushed to hospital.

The three-week-old infant was taken from Forton Road, Gosport, to Queen Alexandra Hospital, in Cosham, last Tuesday, after he was injured. Police initially arrested a man and woman on suspicion of attempted murder.

They were bailed until later this year in September.

A fundraising page has been set up, with more than £1,000 raised by yesterday afternoon.

The post said they are raising cash for a headstone after the boy, born on March 4, died at just 24 days old.
