Incredulous police said they couldn’t believe the children’s actions.

In a post on Waterlooville Police’s Facebook page, the force said: ‘Last night we attended Mill Road, Waterlooville after 5-6 teenage children all dressed in black were throwing these golf balls at moving traffic.

‘We have no reports of damage currently, which amazes us. It goes without saying how unbelievably dangerous this behaviour is.’

Police are now urging anyone who has been affected, or who knows anything about the incident, to contact them on 101 or report it online via Hampshire Constabulary’s website.
