HOODED thugs stole a man’s Converse shoes as he went home from a night out.

The 22-year-old was walking home from The Astoria shortly before 3am on Tuesday, when he was approached by three men who assaulted him.

The group demanded money before taking the man’s white trainers, a black iPhone 4S and Dunmark DJ decks.

The attackers ran off towards Greetham Street.

They were all Asian, about 5ft 8ins tall, aged 19-24 and were wearing hooded tops.

One was of athletic build with short dark hair and the other two were chubby.

Detective Constable Jacqueline McMurchie said: ‘Did you see a group matching the descriptions or did you see this incident happening?

‘There may have been a number of people in this area making their way home after a night out. I’d urge anyone who has any information that may assist this investigation, to contact me.’

The trainers were later recovered by police in Anglesea Road, but the other items are outstanding.

If you have information, call DC McMurchie at Fratton CID on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
