BURGLARS used a glass cutter to get inside a house in Gosport.

Police are appealing for information after someone cut open the glass in the front door of house in St Mark’s Close, Alverstoke.

They then reached in and opened the door latch before searching the house and taking a Dell laptop computer.

It happened between 4pm on Friday and 6.30pm on Sunday.

PC Matt Morgan from the Gosport priority crime team said: ‘Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have been offered such property.

‘This burglary is unusual in as far as the offender has not only entered through the front door but used a glass cutting tool to remove part of the window in the door to access the house.’

Anyone with information should call police on 101.
