Gosport BMW driver clocked speeding at 130mph for 'seven miles continuously' on motorway

Manoa Satala, 42, of Schackleton Road, Rowner, has been banned for a year by Portsmouth magistrates.

He was caught doing 130mph for seven miles in his silver BMW 330d.

Prosecutors said: ‘The speed recorded by means of calibrated speedometer remained constant at 130mph for a distance of seven miles.’

Satala was caught on March 1. He was convicted of speeding.

He has now been fined £500 with a £50 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs.

He was caught southbound on the M6 at Kendal in Cumbria.

Satala was convicted by Cumbria magistrates and sentenced in Portsmouth last month.
