A THUG who attacked a taxi driver has been warned he may go to jail.

Ben Hardie admitted assault causing actual bodily harm when he appeared at Portsmouth Crown Court.

The 20-year-old, of Prideaux-Brune Avenue, Gosport, attacked Jahangir Ahmedi in Fareham on November 27 last year. Judge Ian Pearson released Hardie on bail until August 12 while a pre-sentence report is carried out.

The judge warned him: ‘All sentencing options will be considered and that does include custody.’
