A 61-YEAR-OLD man has been given a suspended sentence for assault.
Bernard Tingley pleaded guilty to assaulting a man at the Foresters Arms pub in Anns Hill Road, Gosport, on New Year’s Day.
Tingley, from Chilworth Grove, Gosport, was sentenced to three months in jail suspended for a year and put under supervision for 12 months by Fareham magistrates.
He was given a curfew ordering him not to leave his home between 6pm and 6am for three months which will be monitored by an electronic tag.
Tingley was told to pay £150 costs and £100 compensation and banned from the Foresters Arms for three months.
