SHOPLIFTER Scott Wilson has been ordered to pay compensation.

Wilson pleaded guilty to stealing four cans of lager from the Co-op store at Crofton Lane, Hill Head, on January 20. He pleaded guilty to returning to the shop two days later and stealing another eight cans of lager.

Wilson, from Tower Close, Gosport, was given an 18-month conditional discharge by Fareham magistrates.

The 39-year-old was also ordered to pay £20.97 compensation to the store.

Magistrates made no order for costs.
