A MAN who fled a taxi without paying has been ordered to pay compensation.

Michael Webb pleaded guilty to committing the offence in Gosport.

The 25-year-old, from Mantle Close, Gosport, also admitted a charge of failing to answer bail.

Webb was fined £110 and told to pay £28 compensation by Fareham magistrates.

He was ordered to pay £15 to a fund for victims of crime and £85 in court costs.
